COMPANY HISTORY

Farming Cooperative Ziri was founded in 1948 in order to purchase agricultural and forest products. In the course of years it has changed, adapted to new environment and new socioeconomic and market circumstances.

Banking had been a major component of its activities since the very beginning. NKBM Bank took this over in 2002.

The following milestones have branded M Sora:

• 1965 – beginning of commercial/business activity
• after 1970 – enhancement of co-operative banking services
• 1980 – joining the then Mercator Ljubljana. Today three of our stores are Mercator's franchisees.
• 1985 – acquiring Joinery Ziri, today one of Slovenia's leading window and door manufacturer
• 1990 – beginnings of hardware wholesale
• 2000 – acquisition of 100% proprietary share of Norica, Ltd. Radovljica
• 2001 – opening of the door/window hardware showroom in Ljubljana
• 2002 – opening of the new hardware showroom and warehousing facility in Ziri; due to new banking legislation and globalization acquisition of co-operative banking services by NKBM Bank
• 2005 – beginning of construction work at the Joinery's new production facility in Ziri
